It’s hard to believe that nearly a year ago, we were wrapping up SQL Saturday Boston and it turned out to be a great success. After every event, I swear that I’m not going to do another one. And still high on the adrenaline, I schedule the date a year in advance.

SQL Saturday Boston 2015 will be held on Saturday, April 18 at the Microsoft Conference Center in Cambridge.

As an organizer, what amazes me is that as soon as you announce an event, your inbox starts to pile up with messages about people wanting to offer preconference training. This year, I had that planned in advance, too. And who did I turn to? My friends.

On Thursday, Stacia Misner from Data Inspirations will be teach SQL Reporting Services: From Rookie to Rockstar. You’ll see me in that one. Learn more at https://www.eventbrite.com/e/sql-server-reporting-services-rookie-to-rockstar-tickets-15611002930.

On Friday, our Friends at Brent Ozar Unlimited will be teaching the Developer’s Guide to SQL Server Performance. If you don’t know Brent or his colleagues, I can tell you that they’re some of the best SQL Server educators out there. Surf on over to http://www.brentozar.com/training-in-person/developers-guide-sql-server-performance-live/.

The cost for Thursday and Friday’s events are each $99. That’s some serious training for a minimal amount of cash.

What I really wasn’t expecting was the outpouring of support we got from the speaker community. Every one of our speakers is either a Microsoft Employee, MVP, or a SQL Server blogger. Our schedule for the day is full of some really remarkable people. Sadly, we had to turn away a few speakers. At the same time, look at the caliber of people who will be speaking at our event. And if you will be speaking, I’m planning a great speaker event on Friday evening.

We have an incredible day planned. If you haven’t registered yet, please do so quickly. Space for Saturday’s event is very limited. We still have plenty of space for Thursday and Friday’s events. Remember that you don’t have to attend all of these events. You can pick and choose what works best for you!

Happy learning!
